By Train:

The Airport Line, operated by METRONET, offers a convenient connection between Perth Airport and the city, stopping at High Wycombe Station, Airport Central Station, Redcliffe Station, Bayswater Station, and then all stops at Claremont Station. Trains run every 12 minutes during peak times, every 15 minutes off-peak, and every 30 minutes at night. The service operates daily from 6 am to midnight.

Tickets for the Perth Airport train can be purchased using a SmartRider card, a reusable card that can be topped up as needed. Alternatively, you can buy a cash ticket at train stations, ferry jetties, or from bus drivers. If paying with cash, please use exact change, as no change is provided. Trains from Perth CBD depart from Platform 8 at Perth Station.

Luckily, the Airport Line runs a two-zone fare cap, meaning that you matter how far you travel, you will never pay more than a two-zone fare, which is only $5.00.

Parking at Perth Airport can be expensive, but off-site airport car parks provide a much more affordable alternative. Located just 5 - 10 minutes from the terminals, these car parks offer free shuttle transfers to and from the airport, making them a convenient choice for transport to Perth Airport. Off-site airport parking offers a similar experience to on-site parking with the added benefit of cost savings.

You simply park your vehicle, take a shuttle bus to your terminal, and upon returning to Perth, the car park’s shuttle will pick you up right outside the terminal.

These off-site facilities offer lower rates because they’re situated a bit farther from the terminals, which allows them to save on ground rent and pass those savings to customers. Many of these car parks also offer additional perks like car washing and maintenance, providing excellent value for Perth Airport to city travellers who want budget-friendly and reliable parking options. For a one-week stay in Perth, these off-site car parks make a smart choice that doesn’t compromise on service or convenience.

By Ride-Share:

Rideshare pricing depends on where your trip begins, so we've provided estimates for some of the most popular suburbs in Perth. We used Uber’s online fare estimator for this, but prices from Lyft and Ola are generally comparable (but may be a bit cheaper). Please note that Perth Airport adds a $3.00 fee for all pick-ups, which will automatically be included in your fare. This still makes ride-sharing a more affordable option compared to Perth’s taxis.

If you're located close to the airport, a round-trip via Uber X or Uber XL typically costs between $63.00 and $104.36. For those living farther away, fares can rise to $93.00+ for a return journey. These rates are based on off-peak times and do not account for surge pricing. During rush hour (7:00–9:30 am and 5:00–7:30 pm), expect to pay up to double. If you’re weighing the costs of Uber versus parking at the airport, we’ve compared both options to help you decide.
