Passengers can plan a duration of 45 minutes to 1 hour to get through customs at Perth Airport. Of course, this will change depending on the date and time you arrive at the customs hall, but you can generally plan to wait a bit.
Eligible passengers can use Smart Gate Arrivals & Departures hall clearance to simply scan their passports and have a photo taken. This allows for the waiting time to decrease by 10–15 minutes. However, not all passengers are permissible. For example, passengers travelling with small children will need their clearance to be processed manually with a border agent. Flyparks recommends arriving at least two hours before your designated departure time. If you don’t check baggage, consider checking in online to save time and arrive only 90 minutes before your scheduled time. However, if you plan to park at Perth Airport, we advise arriving at least 30 - 40 minutes at the car park before you need to check in at the terminals, so approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes before your flight departs. All the car parks offered on Flyparks are only a 2-8 minute shuttle drive away, thus only adding a few extra minutes needed to plan your arrival at the airport.
